8 Things You Have to Do in ATL This Spring

Looking for some fun activities to do this spring with your friends, family, and kiddos? We’ve got some great ideas.

 

  1. Go to Ponce City Market.

Whether you’re looking for a quick bite, sit-down dining, shopping, or rooftop views, Ponce City Market has it all. If you haven’t been yet, it’s a must-visit. If you have, then you know how often they have new things to do and see!

 

  1. Go to the park.

Pack up a picnic and some bikes and head to your local park. Here’s a good list to choose from: Piedmont, Centennial, Candler, Old Fourth Ward, Atlanta Memorial, Kennesaw, Glover, and so on.

 

  1. Visit the Atlanta Beltline.

Take a walk, go for a run, ride bikes, or roller skate on the Beltline! There are several locations you can jump on it, but our favorite is the one next to Ponce City Market.

 

  1. Take a trip to the Botanical Gardens

The Gardens are in full bloom this time of year, so don’t miss out! They’re amazing year round, but spring is definitely the right time to go and see as many flowers and plants as you can.

 

  1. Hang out at a brewery local to you, or in the city.

If you enjoy craft beer, finding a local brewery to visit is the afternoon activity for you! Here’s a list of our favorites in the city: New Realm, Scofflaw, Steady Hand, Bold Monk. Here’s some OTP: Variant, Gate City, Red Hare, Jekyll, Pontoon.

  1. Go camping or spend the night in a yurt!

  1. Visit some fun ATL staple spots.

See beautiful art at the High Museum, learn about history and a wide range of other things at Fernbank or the Atlanta History Museum, or visit the World of Coke or the Georgia Aquarium. 

  1. Go see the Braves play.

Whether you like baseball or not, the Battery and Suntrust Park make for an awesome afternoon or night! 

  1. Enjoy the weather and a meal on a patio.

  1. If you’re looking for an exciting day or night, make the drive over to Six Flags over GA!

Six Flags is always a fun time, and it’s especially enjoyable when the weather is nice.
